Sunny
Office Manager
Sunny grew up in Pelham and is married to Dr. Aiken. She is a talented manager who is fluent in Korean and can help with interpretation and document descriptions for our Korean patients. Sunny moved back to Alabama after living abroad with her husband for several years in Guinea, West Africa, and Korea. She also served as a Peace Corps volunteer and hopes to return to visit Africa again.
As a dental office manager, she is happy to be responsible for the oral health of our patients. Prior to becoming our office manager, Sunny worked as an English teacher, a small business developer, and a corporate lawyer. She attended the University of Georgia and is a Georgia Bulldogs fan.
Olivia
Patient Coordinator/Dental Assistant
Olivia is originally from Atlanta, Georgia, and moved to Birmingham in 2022 to attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She earned her bachelor’s degree in Public Health on the pre-dental track and gained hands-on experience in dentistry by working as a dental assistant each summer throughout her undergraduate studies.
Olivia is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Georgia, with the ultimate goal of becoming a dentist. Outside of work, Olivia enjoys traveling, spending quality time with her family, and singing karaoke!
Kathryne
Registered Dental Hygienist
Kathryne first joined the dental world at 18 years old as a Dental Assistant. After years of assisting chair-side, she decided to attend the Alabama Dental Hygiene Program in 2024. She chose the dental field because, funny enough, she always found herself looking at people’s teeth when talking to them! She has always been fascinated by smiles and oral health, and knew she wanted a career where she could combine that interest with helping others.
Outside of work, she loves being outdoors, going to the beach, and making the most of her time outside the house. Kathryne is also looking forward to her newest and most exciting adventure—becoming a mom! She is expecting her first baby in January 2027 and couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter of her life!
Taylor
Dental Assistant
Taylor was born in Talladega, Alabama. Taylor attended the University of Alabama and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2025. She was unsure if she wanted to pursue her psychology degree further so she took a break from schooling and worked as a scheduling coordinator for a pediatric dentist and quickly found a passion for dentistry!
Outside of the office, Taylor enjoys spending time with her fiancé Carter and their mini dachshund Banks. She enjoys painting, lake days, and Alabama football. Roll tide!
